Sharon Shinn (b. 1957) is an American journalist and author of romantic fantasy and science fiction. Her most popular works are the science fantasy Samaria series, which is set on a Biblically-inspired planet governed by angels, and has often been compared to Anne McCaffrey’s Dragonriders of Pern series.
