Two posts on book covers I’ve enjoyed recently over at sff art blog Muddy Colors:
- This affectionate post by Arnie Fenner on some of the quirks of sff illustration giant Frank Frazetta’s work – in particular his difficulties with scale, which I’ve always found pleasantly headscratch-inducing. Call it incidental Wonderlandian surrealism.
- Lauren Panepinto’s post on book covers where illustration and design intersect, which includes many of the covers I’ve found the most arresting and intriguing in the past few years.
